Meet the Designer-Artist

Introduce Yourself:

My couture line features stunning gemstones and fine metals. I am very much inspired by the cut and color of the gemstones themselves. Living in the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia, also lends inspiration to my creations through its historic architecture and gardens.

Currently, I am most fond of my Bonne Fete Bracelet, my featured piece, which contains some components I got right from Fire Mountain Gems and Beads. The Bonne Fete Bracelet is filled with utter decadence and is the definition of luxury. Smooth rondelles of bright pink spinel, pears of golden and orange Songea sapphires and full-faceted teardrops of flawless pink amethyst are clustered together in this rope-style bracelet. Nearly two hundred of these gems have been placed on 24Kt yellow gold vermeil headpins and individually wire-wrapped into a petite chain. Asymmetrically placed within the Bonne Fete Bracelet are two finely-faceted rounds of flawless beer quartz. Antiqued 24Kt yellow gold vermeil Bali beads and a twist-rope toggle close the piece. A sterling silver signature tag imprinted with "jlee" finishes it off.

Share Your Background.

I worked for a jewelry designer as an apprentice and assistant during college and graduate school. Around the same time, I worked at a bead shop in Bar Harbor, Maine, which is where I learned about Fire Mountain Gems and Beads.

Being a jewelry designer is my full time job. I'm a wholesaler and have an online retail shop.
